Troop 76 had their annual ski trip to Vermont's Mount Snow.
We left the church around 8:15 Friday night 3/14 enroute to Camp MacGregar. We arrived at the farmhouse around 11:00pm after a stop at McDonalds for dinner. After unpacking and settling in, lights went out around 1:00am. The assigned breakfast cooks were up around 6:00 am and cooked some french toast and sausages as the main part of the breakfast. We arrived at Mount Snow around 9:30am (a bit late). The snow conditions for the day was overcast clouds with occasional snow flurries. The temperature was around 35 degrees all day which made the snow wet , heavy, and slow. Lunch was served around 12:30 and was the traditional ham, turkey, or roast beef sandwiches. After a nice day of skiing, we arrived at the farmhouse around 5:30 and was met with the Barton's world famous nachos for an appetizer. Dinner was served shortly after and was the ever popular streak tip surprise with potatoes and green beans. After dinner, we indulged in a wide assortment of deserts and some leisurely activities. We learned a new game called "spoons" which entertained people for quite a while. The next day we leisurely woke up and had scrambled eggs and leftovers(french toast, steak tip surprise, desserts,...) for breakfast. We were packed up, out the door, and back to the church by 1:00pm. The trip was very fun as usual and I'd like to thank everyone for their time and effort to make this trip a success. |
